my head fell forward onto the computer keyboard
sleep dragged me down
& melted a hole through my desk
& then I tumbled through the office floor burning
holes
& sinking below the foundations
& further still
until
having travelled
through layers
upon layers of earth & rock
I reached the centre of the
earth
where my thoughts
were burnt
to a crisp
& I dream-swam in circles
trapped thereafter
